According to a report by Adam Caplan of The Sideline View, the Eagles welcomed defensive end Trevor Scott for a visit to the NovaCare Complex Thursday. Scott, 28, played last season with the New England Patriots and registered 3.0 sacks in 14 games played. Caplan later reported that Scott underwent a physical but that no signing was imminent.
Originally a sixth-round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2008, Scott, 6-5, 256, has 16.5 sacks to his credit in five seasons. Scott is primarily a pass rusher and would seem to be familiar with a hybrid defense from his season in New England.
