The Eagles have not made any official announcement regarding whether Cole had surgery. Per Garafolo, Cole has been dealing with the issue for over a year and the procedure will hopefully correct it once and for all.

One of the most prolific pass rushers in franchise history, Cole has 71 career sacks in eight seasons which ranks third in team annals. He has been named to the Pro Bowl twice and once earned Associated Press All-Pro second-team honors.
