One day after the Eagles signed safety Marlin Jackson, last year's free agent addition at the position is making a visit.
Sean Jones is headed to Florida to visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to the Tampa Tribune.
Originally a second-round pick of the Browns in 2004, Jones signed a one-year deal with the Eagles last year. Even though Macho Harris won the free safety job to open the year, Jones took over at midseason and recorded a pair of interceptions.
At 6-1, 220 pounds, Jones would be ideally suited for a strong safety role. If Jones were to sign, he would join wide receiver Reggie Brown, who was traded earlier this week.
The Buccaneers are also reportedly interested in two other safeties - Jones' former teammate Brodney Pool and Gibril Wilson of the Dolphins.
