Reports: Five Draft Prospects On Radar

DE/OLB Ziggy Ansah - Lindsay H. Jones of USA Today reported from Ziggy Ansah's pro day at BYU that the Eagles will host the projected top 10 pick for a visit early next week. Assistant head coach/defensive line coach Jerry Azzinaro was also at the pro day. A native of Ghana, Ansah has only played football since 2010. However, Ansah has tremendous size at 6-5, 271 pounds and is an impressive athlete. He walked on to the track team at BYU before shifting over to the gridiron.

WR Marquise Goodwin - Burnt Orange Nation, a University of Texas football blog, posted a note that the Eagles showed interest in former Longhorns wideout Marquise Goodwin during his pro day. Goodwin is a former track star who won multiple World Junior Championships as a long jumper. Goodwin has outstanding speed and is dangerous in the return game.

C Khaled Holmes - Rob Rang of CBS Sports reported that the Eagles are conducting a private workout with former USC center Khaled Holmes on Friday. Ranked by Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net as the No. 2 center prospect in the draft, Holmes offers good length at 6-3, 302 pounds. He's also started at guard during his USC career. Could not lift at his pro day due to a pectoral injury he suffered at the NFL Scouting Combine.

DT Star Loutelelei - The Sideline View's Adam Caplan reported that the Eagles held a private workout for the former Utah standout. Lotulelei is considered a likely top 10 selection in the upcoming draft. Profiled by Caplan and NFL Films senior producer Greg Cosell in our Film Room series, Lotulelei has an impressive blend of size and athleticism. Doctors discovered that Lotulelei had a heart condition at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he was cleared to resume normal training activities and reportedly had a good pro day workout. Lotulelei would be of value to the Eagles because he can play defensive tackle in a 4-3 look or end in a 3-4 scheme.

QB EJ Manuel - It was already reported that the Eagles were set to hold a private workout with the former Florida State quarterback. In a draft diary for Birds 24/7, Manuel said the workout was conducted by quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor. The two spent time in the classroom working on film before taking the field. Manuel claims to have left a "great impression" on Lazor. NFL Network analyst and former Eagles scout Daniel Jeremiah also tweeted this week that he has heard a lot of buzz connecting the Eagles to Manuel.
