The Eagles claimed tight end Kevin Foelsch on Saturday from the New York Jets.

Foelsch (6-4, 250) originally signed with the Carolina Panthers as a rookie free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft but landed with the Jets fewer than two weeks later. The University of New Haven product amassed 73 receptions for 660 yards and 16 touchdowns in five seasons. Foelsch, a Ramsey, New Jersey native, earned first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors this past season after hauling in a career-high seven touchdowns. He was the first player out of New Haven to sign a UDFA contract since 2017.

Earlier on Saturday, the Eagles waived another rookie tight end in McCallan Castles with an injury designation. Castles signed with the Eagles as a rookie free agent following the '24 Draft.

There are now six tight ends on the roster following the addition of Foelsch – Grant Calcaterra, Dallas Goedert, E.J. Jenkins, Albert Okwuegbunam, and C.J. Uzomah being the others.

Nearly 50,000 fans turned what would have been a quiet summer Thursday night into a loud, frenetic gameday-like atmosphere at Lincoln Financial Field for the Public Practice.
