Roster Moves: Eagles claim TE Armani Rogers, waive WR Shaq Davis

Roster Moves

The Philadelphia Eagles claimed tight end Armani Rogers off waivers from the Washington Commanders and waived wide receiver Shaq Davis, the team announced on Wednesday.

A rookie free agent out of Ohio where he was a quarterback, Rogers recorded five catches for 64 yards during his rookie campaign in 2022 with the Commanders. He was sidelined by an injury in 2023. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Rogers started his college career at UNLV before transferring to Ohio. At Ohio, Rogers set the NCAA FBS record for longest run by a quarterback with a 99-yard touchdown.

Davis was signed by the Eagles in January after spending time on the Saints' practice squad in 2023. Davis was recently activated from the Active/Non-Football Injury list on July 26. – Written by Liam Wichser
