After losing defensive end Derek Barnett to a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's win over the Lions, the Eagles signed defensive end Janarius Robinson off of the Vikings' practice squad on Tuesday. The Eagles also placed Barnett on Injured Reserve.
Here is what you need to know about the newest Eagle:
• A fourth-round pick of the Vikings in 2021 out of Florida State, the 24-year-old Robinson is 6-foot-5, 258 pounds.
• Robinson spent his rookie season on Injured Reserve.
• In 2020, his final season at Florida State, Robinson started all nine games, recorded 26 tackles, posted seven tackles for loss, and notched three sacks. He led the Seminoles in sacks and hurries and was second in tackles for loss.
• His first name is pronounced Ja-NAR-us.
