Last season before his Thanksgiving Day injury, Nolan Carroll was arguably the Eagles' best cornerback. Now scheduled to become a free agent, Rand Getlin of NFL Network reports Philadelphia is still in the mix as a possible landing spot for the corner.
Carroll spent the last two seasons with the Eagles, starting all 11 games he played in 2015. This past season, he led the team in pass breakups (15) before being placed on Injured Reserve following Week 12 and also recorded interceptions in back-to-back games, one of which he returned 17 yards for a touchdown.
The corner spent the first four years of his career with the Dolphins, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2010. In his career, Carroll has 200 tackles, 42 passes defensed and seven interceptions.
