According to a report from Peter King of The MMQB, the Eagles may be interested in moving up in the this weekend's draft.
MMQB1: Rams working OT on @JManziel2 ... QB for Minn in 2, not 1? ... Want some company, Jake Locker? ... Eagles want to trade up. — Peter King (@SI_PeterKing) May 5, 2014
In his weekly column, King details all of the latest draft buzz that he has been hearing. On the Eagles, King writes that he's been hearing rumors of the Eagles possibly moving up to take a wide receiver.
The name that King mentions is LSU's Odell Beckham, Jr., whom he notes has the ability to play both inside and outside and could also help a team in the return game. King also writes that if the price for Beckham seems too steep for the Eagles, then sticking at 22 and taking a different receiver "would be some consolation prize."
Last week, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman explained that the Eagles would be willing to move up in the first round as long as the value of the targeted player was right. Of course, this is all speculation at this point. The real fun gets underway when the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft begins on Thursday night.
