The Eagles are reportedly bringing back Mark Sanchez on a two-year deal, but could another veteran quarterback be headed to Philadelphia?
Per Jayson Braddock, a sports talk show host in Houston, the 49ers are shopping quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the Eagles are one of the interested parties.
This is the rumor mill and lots of speculation is floating around right now, but this items was enough to make 49ers general manager Trent Baalke respond.
A second-round pick of the 49ers in 2011, Kaepernick has taken San Francisco to a Super Bowl appearance as well as an NFC Championship Game since taking over as the starting quarterback in 2012. The 6-4, 230-pound Kaepernick displays a unique blend of arm strength and athleticism. He has accounted for 58 total touchdowns in the regular season and another 11 in the postseason while boasting a career completion percentage of 60.1.
Reports indicate that 49ers running back Frank Gore could sign with the Eagles when free agency opens on Tuesday. Could the quarterback be far behind?
