The Eagles' offseason overhaul of the secondary has reportedly begun with the addition of the free agent market's top cornerback - Byron Maxwell. The agreement was first reported by Jayson Braddock.

If the deal is agreed upon, according to Braddock's terms, the contract would be a higher annual average than the top free agent cornerback deal signed last year, but a slightly lower guarantee. In 2014, Aqib Talib signed a six-year, $57 million deal with $26 million guaranteed.
Later, the ESPN's Josina Anderson confirmed that Maxwell is headed to Philadelphia.
