According to a report from Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, University of Iowa outside linebacker Christian Kirksey visited with the Eagles earlier this week.
Did not see this reported but I'm told Christian Kirksey/LB/Iowa visited the Eagles earlier this week...sctrpt: http://t.co/F252XC5Uz7 — Tony Pauline (@TonyPauline) April 25, 2014
The 6-foot-2, 233-pound linebacker was a three-year starter with the Hawkeyes, during which he recorded 5.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss and four interceptions. In his player profile, Pauline writes that Kirksey is an "(e)xplosive weakside linebacker prospect who makes plays sideline to sideline. Fast moving in every direction of the field, works hard to get involved, and plays bigger than his listed size."
Kirksey's best season at Iowa was his sophomore campaign, when he racked up 110 tackles (five for loss) and forced a fumble. He is projected by most to be a mid-round pick who can help a team not only on defense, but on special teams as well.
