The Eagles are reportedly still in the mix for Patriots safety Devin McCourty, but New England is fighting to retain the services of the two-time Pro Bowl defensive back, who is just the third player in NFL history to earn All-Pro honors at both the cornerback and safety positions.
Robinson previously tweeted that McCourty was the Eagles' "top priority" in free agency. McCourty would pique the Eagles' interest because he very much mirrors what they already have with Malcolm Jenkins - a versatile defensive back who can cover and play the run as well as provide leadership as a team captain.
Tom Curran of Comcast SportsNet in New England reported, however, that it's "a very good bet" that the Patriots will be able to keep both McCourty and All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis.
