It was reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday night that All-Pro running back DeMarco Murray will spend Thursday in Philadelphia meeting with the Eagles. Schefter added on Thursday morning that Murray is planning on more than visiting. Per Schefter, it is Murray's intent to sign with the Eagles.
"Dallas has had numerous chances to resign Murray throughout the year and now," Schefter wrote on his Facebook page. "Aside from the contract, the Eagles are most appealing to Murray because of his belief in their chance to win."
There are some close to Murray who also believe that the league's leading rusher from 2014 will be wearing midnight green next season. Per Mike Fisher from 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Murray's family is under the impression that the Cowboys will need a new running back in 2015. ESPN's Adam Caplan reported that members of Murray's "inner circle" are accompanying the running back on the visit to Philly.
How serious is the Eagles' interest in acquiring Murray. Albert Breer from NFL Network tweeted that head coach Chip Kelly is at the NovaCare Complex to meet with Murray instead of attending one of the dozen pro days taking place Thursday.
