Unrestricted free agent safety Nate Allen is visiting Oakland on Wednesday, per John Middlekauff, a former scout for the Eagles and currently a radio host and analyst out of San Francisco.
Allen was the Eagles' second-round pick in 2010 out of South Florida and re-signed with the team last offseason on a one-year deal. Last season, Allen started all 15 games he played and had 70 tackles, a team-high four interceptions and three fumble recoveries which tied for the team lead.
Last season marked the first time Allen was able to play for the same coordinator in back-to-back seasons in his five years with the Eagles. In 74 career games (69 starts), Allen had 380 tackles, 10 interceptions, 28 pass deflections, four sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
