Have you been looking for a way to give back to your community? By becoming an Eagles Cheerleader this year, you can make a difference each and every day. Jess is now finishing her rookie season as an Eagles Cheerleader, and has been able to build on her previous community service experiences by representing the Eagles' organization.

"Giving back to the community is absolutely my favorite part of being an Eagles Cheerleader," said Jess. "We attend so many community events and participate in so many different outreach programs, not only in our local community, but also in communities all around the world."

What made you want to audition to be an Eagles Cheerleader?

"I was a cheerleader in middle school and then decided to move onto dance in my high school and college years, where I was on a competitive hip-hop dance team. I absolutely loved performing for large crowds and I also happened to be a huge Eagles fan. I always knew that I wanted to dance professionally, so I went onto the Eagles Cheerleader website and I was so impressed by the caliber of women that were on the team. That really gave me the final push to want to join this elite group of women."

What is it like for you to be able to give back to the community as an Eagles Cheerleader?

"Giving back to the community is my favorite part of being an Eagles Cheerleader. We attend so many community events and participate in various outreach programs, not only in our local community, but also in communities all around the world. It is truly such a humbling experience to be able to touch so many people's lives."

Did you have any community service experience before auditioning?

"Before auditioning, I participated in a number of community service experiences.  I have raised money for multiple organizations through fundraising, participating in walks and 5k runs. This includes raising money and participating in events for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Autism Speaks, American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation and United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation."

How do the Eagles Cheerleaders get involved in the community?

"As Eagles Cheerleaders we are involved in the community year-round. Just a few examples include: Participating in NFL Play 60 events at local schools in order to share the importance of daily exercise and proper nutrition, visiting children undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, helping to raise funds and awareness for many charitable causes including cancer research and autism research, supporting and honoring active U.S. military and veterans, taking part in hands-on environmental projects, among many others."

What have you learned from giving back to the community?

"The lessons I have learned are truly invaluable. I have gained a new sense of gratitude for everything I have, and I have gained so much more awareness to the concerns and causes that exist throughout the world. I have learned that every person can truly make a difference, and that it is the little things in life that count. Helping to change just one person's life can change yours forever."

What has been your favorite event as an Eagles Cheerleader?

"My favorite event, without a doubt, was volunteering at the Little Yellow School House in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. This is a school for children with special needs and it is exceptionally special because this school is supported entirely by donations.  We were able to visit the school and not only donate a lot of fun Eagles items to the children, but we also donated school supplies that are imperative for this school to run and for the children to receive an appropriate education."

What is the biggest piece of advice you can give to someone who is trying out for the squad on March 5?

"If you are not already active in your community, find an organization or an outreach program to get involved in! Find a charitable cause that you are passionate about supporting. During the business interview process of the auditions, you will have the opportunity to convey your community service experiences. Eagles Cheerleaders are well-rounded, making contributions both on and off the field."
