2017 Eagles Chess Tournament
The Eagles and After School Activities Partnerships co-hosted the 2017 Eagles Chess Tournament on Tuesday at Lincoln Financial Field, which featured 225 youth chess players.

The Eagles and ASAP/After School Activities Partnetships co-hosted the 2017 Eagles Chess Tournament on Tuesday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The all-day event featured 225 youth chess players from ASAP Chess.

The competing students participated in four round of competition.

In addition to students, K Caleb Sturgis stopped by for a few games.

Research indicates that the game of chess has the power to increase higher level thinking skills and boosts academic achievement.

ASAP is a non-profit offering a variety of after school activities to Philadelphia youth.

Sturgis played a few hard-fought games of chess.

After the tournament, it was time for photos!

Sturgis was happy to sign autographs for the kids as well. All together, the 2017 Eagles Chess Tournament was a big success!
