Adding to his list of records, Wentz also set Eagles rookie records in pass attempts (607), passing yards (3,782), completion percentage (62.4%), passing touchdowns (16), and passer rating (79.3).

At the beginning of the 2016 season, Wentz attempted 134 consecutive passes without an interception (9/11-10/9), which was the third-longest streak to begin an NFL career.

Wentz received NFL Rookie of the Month honors following his September performance where he led the team to 3-0, had a 64.7% completion percentage, 769 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

At the end of the season, Wentz had played in all 16 games and tallied 379 completions for 3,782 yards, 16 touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns.
