Brian Dawkins Retirement Ceremony
Legendary Eagles safety Brian Dawkins signed a one-day contract to retire as an Eagle on April 28, 2012.


Owner Jeffrey Lurie spoke glowingly of Dawkins.

Dawkins was overcome with emotion while remembering former defensive coordinator Jim Johnson, who passed away in 2009.

Dawkins #20 jersey will be retired when the Eagles play against the New York Giants on Sept. 30.

Former teammates Ike Reese and Tra Thomas, as well as current quarterback Michael Vick, listen to Dawkins speak.

Many of Dawkins' teammates with the Eagles came back to celebrate his retirement.
