Community Monday: PLAY 60 Pep Rally
On November 14, Jordan Matthews, Jalen Mills and Rodney McLeod visited the Fell School for a special Fuel Up to PLAY 60 pep rally.

On November 14, Jordan Matthews, Jalen Mills and Rodney McLeod visited the Fell School for a special Fuel Up to PLAY 60 pep rally.

Fuel Up to PLAY 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Dairy Council, the NFL and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The program helps encourage today's youth to lead healthier lives.

Before the pep rally began, the Fell School's cheerleaders got their classmates excited for the event.

When the players arrived, they started participating in activities with the students to encourage healthy eating and an active lifestyle.

The three players were seperated onto two teams. Matthews was in charge of the students on the Green Team.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, childhood obesity rates have more than doubled in children in the past 30 years.

For the last physical challenge, the players helped their teams dress a student in full football gear.

The teams had to make sure they had every piece of equipment on correctly to demonstrate the importance of safety.

Matthews and the Green Team were able to beat McLeod, Mills and the White Team.

Everyone had a blast during the different races!

At the end of the pep rally, the Fell School was presented with a $10,000 Hometown Grant.
