Eagles Honor Merrill Reese And Jeremiah Trotter
As the Eagles prepare to induct Merrill Reese and Jeremiah Trotter into their Hall of Fame, take a look back on their amazing accomplishments throughout the years.

Former Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter played eight of his 11 NFL seasons in Philadelphia. Trotter's nickname "Axe Man" was born when he began paying tribute to his late father, Myra, on the field.

Trotter helped the Eagles win three NFC East titles and also helped take the team to five playoff appearances, including two NFC CHampionship Games and Super Bowl XXXIX.

During his career with the Eagles, Trotter accumulated 1,085 tackles, 35 passes defensed, 12.5 sacks, eight forced fumbles, eight interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

Trotter is one of only four linebackers in franchise history to produce at least four Pro Bowl seasons.

Merrill Reese is the longest-tenured play-by-play announcer in the NFL, currently in his 40th season as the Voice of the Eagles.

Reese is a Philadelphia native, having attended Overbrook High School and Temple University, where he discovered his love for broadcasting.

Reese is a member of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, and was also named Pennsylvania Sportscaster of the Year by the National Association of Sportscaster in 2000 and 2008.

To add to his honors, Reese was also named Philadelphia's Best Sportscaster by Philadelphia Magazine.
