Players To Watch: Browns
Looking ahead to the Browns vs. Eagles game this coming Sunday, check out some of the key players to watch for on the Browns roster.
QB Robert Griffen III is entering his first season with the Browns after spending the last four seasons with the Washington Redskins. While in Washington, Griffen accumulated 8,097 passing yards, 40 passing touchdowns, and eight rushing touchdowns.
LB Emmanuel Ogbah was selected by the Browns in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Ogbah played in 39 career games at Oklahoma State and finished with 133 tackles, 28 sacks, nine passes defensed, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
TE Gary Barnidge is a 9-year NFL veteran who has played four seasons for the Panthers and the last three with the Browns. Barnidge has tallied 123 receptions in his NFL career, along with 12 touchdowns.
OL Joe Thomas has been in the NFL for 10 seasons, all with the Browns. Thomas is the eighth player in NFL history to be selected to the Pro Bowl each of his first nine seasons. Â
WR Corey Coleman was selected by the Browns in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Baylor. Coleman holds the single-season touchdown reception record (20) and career touchdown reception record (33) at Baylor.
DB Joe Haden is entering his seventh NFL season and has played all seven of those seasons with the Browns. Over the course of his career, Haden has notched 329 tackles, 16 interceptions and two sacks.
DL Danny Shelton was drafted by the Brwons in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Washington. During his rookie season, Shelton had 36 tackles. Â
