Players To Watch: Carolina Panthers
The 4-1 Eagles and 4-1 Panthers will battle it out Thursday night at Bank of America Stadium. Take a look at some of the Panthers' key players.

QB Cam Newton won the league's MVP award just two seasons ago. In 2017, Newton is off to a strong start and is heading into Thursday's game coming off a 355 passing yards and three touchdown performance against the Lions.

WR Devin Funchess leads the team with three touchdowns and is second in both receptions and receiving yards.

LB Luke Kuechly is one of the NFL's best middle linebackers. Kuechly has won Defensive Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and a first-team All-Pro nod during his five-year career. Â

WR Kelvin Benjamin, listed at 6'5, 245 pounds, leads the Panthers in receiving yards. He earned his first touchdown of the season in the Panthers Week 5 win.

RB Jonathan Stewart leads the team with 251 rushing yards and has scored one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown. Â

RB Christian McCaffrey is having a solid rookie season. McCaffery leads the team in combined rushing and receiving yards and notched his first career touchdown last week against the Lions. Â

DE Julius Peppers, a future Hall of Famer, leads the team with 5.5 quarterback sacks this season. Peppers has four career interceptions for touchdowns with one coming against Philadelphia. Â

DT Kawann Short has never missed a game for the Panthers. He currently has three quarterback sacks on the year including two in Week 5. Â

LB Thomas Davis has spent his entire 13-year career with the Panthers. He earned two Pro Bowls and a first-team All Pro award from 2015-16. Â
