Players To Watch: Chargers
The Eagles are flying out to Los Angeles to play the Chargers in Week 4. Take a look at their players to watch.
WR Keenan Allen leads the Chargers in receptions and receiving yards through three games. In 41 career games, Allen has recorded 240 receptions and 17 touchdowns.
LB Melvin Ingram, one of the league's top outside linebackers, currently ranks second in the NFL with 5.5 quarterback sacks this season.
CB Casey Hayward led the NFL with seven interceptions in 2016. His ball-hawking skills earned him a Pro Bowl appearance and a second-team All-Pro nod.
TE Antonio Gates moved into first place all-time among tight ends for touchdowns scored (112). A surefire Hall of Famer, Gates accomplished the historic feat on a 7-yard touchdown catch in Week 2 against the Dolphins.
QB Phillip Rivers returns as the Chargers starting signal caller for the twelfth consecutive season. A very experienced quarterback, Rivers has struggled of late. In Week 3, he threw interceptions against the Chiefs.
WR Tyrell Williams enters his third season with the Chargers after going undrafted back in 2015. Last season, Williams broke out for 1,059 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
RB Melvin Gordon has rushed for 146 yards, picked up two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown this season. In Week 3, Gordon ran for 79 yards on 17 carries for a touchdown against the Chiefs.
DE Joey Bosa is one of the league's most promising defensive lineman. Bosa earned the 2016 NFL Defense Rookie of the Year honors after leading the Chargers and all NFL rookies with 10.5 sacks in just 12 total games.
