Dr. Arsh Dhanota was named the Eagles' Chief Medical Officer & Head Team Physician in 2019 and added the title of Vice President of Athlete Care in 2023. He is a Sports Medicine specialist and faculty member at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also serves as Founding Chief of the division of Primary Care Sports Medicine. Throughout his time at Penn, Dr. Dhanota has demonstrated a unique ability to innovate and lead. He founded and is the current Director of the Regenerative Sports Medicine and Orthobiologics Program, a trailblazing program in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries using autologous cell-based modalities. His medical education includes residency training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA-Kaiser Foundation Hospital and fellowship education at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia-University of Pennsylvania's Sports Medicine fellowship program. While at Penn, he has remained active in the education of future sports medicine physicians through his role as associate program director for the University of Pennsylvania's Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship program. His experience prior to joining the Eagles includes roles as a team physician in the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA Division I collegiate programs, and with the U.S. national soccer team. Throughout his career, Dr. Dhanota has proven to be a driven and innovative leader, educator, and clinician with his past success inspiring and motivating his work for future innovations in physical and mental performance.
