Jeremiah Washburn was promoted to director of player personnel/senior defensive assistant for the Eagles during the 2020 offseason after originally joining the team as advanced projects coordinator in 2019. Washburn entered the NFL in 2002 as a football operations assistant with the Carolina Panthers. During his 17 years in the league, Washburn has worked both as an offensive line coach and a scout, most recently serving as the Miami Dolphins offensive line coach in 2018.
From 2003-08, Washburn worked for the Baltimore Ravens as a player personnel assistant (2003-04) and area scout (2005-08). He transitioned to coaching in 2009 when he was hired by the Detroit Lions as the assistant offensive line coach. Washburn was promoted by the Lions to offensive line coach in 2013 and served in that role for three seasons. Following his time in Detroit, Washburn served as the assistant offensive line coach for the Dolphins (2016) and the offensive line coach Chicago Bears (2017).
Washburn played guard at the University of Arkansas and began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater in 2000.
He and his wife, Susan, have two daughters, Ally and Megan, and a son, Drew.
