Biography
Phil Bhaya enters his 11th season with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was named the team's director of player personnel during the 2024 offseason.
Before taking on his current title, Bhaya served as the Eagles' director of college scouting (2023) and director of draft management (2022). He also worked as an area scout for Philadelphia, focusing on the Southeast (2021) and Northeast (2020) regions. In addition, Bhaya spent four years as an NFS Scout (2016-19) after joining the team as a scouting assistant (2014-15).
Bhaya was a team captain and four-year letterwinner at defensive back at Princeton from 2010-13. He helped Princeton to an 8-2 record and Ivy League championship in 2013, earning All-Ivy League honors for a second consecutive season. That season, Bhaya also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-Ivy League accolades and was the recipient of the 2013 Richard Coleman Award for excellence in scholarship, athletics, and team contribution. In 2010, he was recognized as the Harland "Pink" Baker '22 Award winner as the Tigers' top defensive freshman.
A native of Haddonfield, NJ, Bhaya earned All-South Jersey honors at defensive back and was named to the New Jersey Super 100 Team at Haddonfield Memorial High School. He was also named an All-American in lacrosse as a senior.
