Biography
Shawn Heinlen was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as a Southwest Area scout in the 2018 offseason after serving as a consultant for the Reese's Senior Bowl in 2017.
Prior to joining the Eagles scouting staff, Heinlen spent 16 seasons with the Buffalo Bills. From 2003-17, he served as a college area scout after being promoted from the team's college scouting administrator (2001-2003). Heinlen began his career with the Bills in 1999 as a training camp intern.
After his internship with Buffalo, Heinlen was a player personnel analyst with the NFL from 2000-01 before returning to the Bills in 2001. Heinlen played quarterback at North Central College in Naperville, IL, before transferring to the University of Florida where he served as a student assistant for the Gators Football team. He received his bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree in sports administration from the University of Florida.
Heinlen resides in Celina, TX, with his wife, Missy, and their two sons, Colton and Knox.
