In the first year since losing former All-Pro center Jason Kelce to retirement, the Eagles' offensive line didn't miss a beat in 2024. Run game coordinator/Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland's crew dominated yet again this past season, helping Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia offense to a historic season.

Behind the offensive line which for the most part consisted of (from left to right) Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Mekhi Becton, and Lane Johnson, the Eagles rushed for a club-record 3,048 yards (sixth-most in NFL history).

Johnson earned his fifth All-Pro in 2024, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Bob Brown as the only Eagles offensive tackles to earn five AP All-Pro selections. Mailata earned his first All-Pro honor after grading out as the top offensive tackle this season according to PFF.

In his first year as center, Jurgens earned Pro Bowl honors while playing a career-high 1,068 snaps. Dickerson earned his third straight Pro Bowl selection playing in 16 regular season games and four in the playoffs. Third-year guard/tackle Tyler Steen started three games in 2024 and was ready when called upon. He played a career-high 316 regular season and 84 postseason snaps. 2024 fifth-round draft pick Trevor Keegan saw action in one game during his rookie season and has loads of potential. Darian Kinnard saw action in two games this season with a start at right tackle en route to winning his third straight Super Bowl in his third year in the league. The Eagles signed tackle Laekin Vakalahi to a futures contract. The Australia native had an international exemption in 2024 and spent time on the practice squad.

Free Agents

Becton, who transitioned from tackle to guard in his first year in Philadelphia, started in 15 games at right guard, playing a part in Barkley's franchise-record 2,005-yard season. Tackle Le'Raven Clark spent the season on Injured Reserve after being signed to a futures contract last season.

Tackle/guard Jack Driscoll appeared in 13 contests with one start before going on Injured Reserve in January. Tackle Fred Johnson appeared in all 17 regular season contests and four postseason games with six starts on offense and special teams.

Bird Talk

Saquon Barkley on the offensive line:

"I've said this the whole time: The guys up front are making it happen for me. I'm just following them. They are the best offensive line in the game and they are a huge part of the success we are having running the ball. They deserve their credit."

Notable Stat

According to PFF, Mailata (96.9) led the entire NFL in offensive grade and run-blocking grade (94.9). The first-year team captain ranked second in the NFL with a 91.7 pass-blocking grade. Johnson ranked first among NFL right tackles in PFF pass-blocking grade (88.1), pressure percentage (2.2 percent), and knockdown percentage (0.2 percent). The two-time Super Bowl Champion did not allow a sack in 451 pass-blocking snaps.

Under the Microscope

The obvious question for the offensive line unit in the offseason will be what happens with Mekhi Becton in free agency? Every other start remains under contract through next season, with the veteran Johnson appearing to have no thoughts about retirement. If Becton is gone, is Tyler Steen ready to take the reigns as the starting right guard? And where does Trevor Keegan fit into Stoutland's rotation after a year of learning? As they had a lot of in 2024, adding and retaining depth will be a key part to the offensive line group that is primed for another strong season in 2025. – Written by Liam Wichser
