Ahead of Super Bowl LIX, PhiladelphiaEagles.com will catch up with several of the assistant coaches for three questions to discuss some of the moments and players who have helped the team reach the championship game. Today, Defensive Ends/Outside Linebackers Coach Jeremiah Washburn shares why the mix of veteran and young players has worked so well for the edge rusher group this season.

What's your daily message to the group?

"I stole it from BG (Brandon Graham). Be you. Be the guy that's been the same guy for the last 20 weeks, so be you."

How has Nolan Smith made such a leap from Year 1 to Year 2?

"Just the detail of the game, he's really taken that to heart. And just kind of taking something from every vet that he's been around, he's taken a little something from each guy and put that in his game and put it all together."

How do you feel about the position group in general with the way the veterans and the young players have mixed together this year?

"It's been great. It's generational with BG (Brandon Graham) to Sweaty (Josh Sweat) to (Bryce) Huff to Nolan to Jalyx (Hunt) and our other younger guys. They get along great and it's been a lot of fun to have that variance in our group."
