The Giants could be without two of their big playmakers on Sunday night against the Eagles as linebacker Michael Boley (hamstring) and running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Boley suffered the injury during last week's loss to San Francisco. Boley, the starting middle linebacker, has been called by defensive end Justin Tuck the most important player on defense. The Giants don't have a lot of veteran depth behind Boley.
Bradshaw has missed the past two games for a Giants rushing attack that has struggled mightily in 2011. The Giants are ranked 29th in the league in rushing offense with 89.2 yards per game.
Three other starters were limited for the Giants: wide receiver Mario Manningham (knee), cornerback Aaron Ross (quad) and defensive end Osi Umenyiora (knee). First-round draft pick cornerback Prince Amukamara (foot) was also limited. He has yet to make his NFL debut due to the injury.
Wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan was a full participant (hip) in practice for the Giants.
No surprises for the Eagles on their injury report. Four players missed practice: tackle King Dunlap (concussion), wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (shoulder, hamstring), cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) and quarterback Michael Vick (ribs).
Free safety Nate Allen (concussion) and guard Evan Mathis (toe) returned to practice. Allen said after practice that he's good to go for Sunday. Mathis indicated that if he doesn't suffer any setbacks that he will play as well.
