Nick Cole started at right guard in place of Todd Herremans for Sunday night's game against the Giants. However Herremans was in his usual spot at the beginning of the second quarter.
All six receivers were active for the Eagles. In fact, Kevin Curtis, DeSean Jackson and Jason Avant were on the field for the team's first play from scrimmage. Jackson rushed nine yards for a touchdown off a direct snap on the second play from scrimmage.
The Giants, meanwhile, were without starting strong safety James Butler and starting weakside linebacker Gerris Wilkinson. Rookie Kenny Phillips started in place of Butler at strong safety, while Chase Blackburn started at weakside linebacker in place of Wilkinson.
Philadelphia's inactives included running back Lorenzo Booker, fullback Kyle Eckel, linebacker Joe Mays, defensive end Bryan Smith, guards Shawn Andrews and Mike McGlynn, and tight end Matt Schobel. A.J. Feeley was the third quarterback. Max Jean-Gilles started at right guard in place of Andrews.
In addition to Butler, New York was without running backs Reuben Droughns and Danny Ware, cornerback Kevin Dockery, offensive tackle Adam Koets, receiver Mario Manningham and defensive end Jerome McDougle.
