After missing two days of practice with a concussion, cornerback Brandon Boykin has been cleared to return to practice on Thursday, according to Chip Kelly.
Boykin suffered a concussion returning a kickoff against Minnesota on Sunday, and his status for this week's game against Chicago had been uncertain. However, Boykin went through the NFL's concussion protocol and passed all of the necessary tests to return to action.
Boykin's presence in the lineup will surely help the Eagles secondary deal with Bears playmakers Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett. Boykin could even be matched up with Bears running back Matt Forte whenever he becomes a receiver out of the backfield.
