Head coach Doug Pederson announced that guard Brandon Brooks (shoulder) and defensive end Daeshon Hall (knee) will be out for the remainder of the season due to the injuries they sustained during Sunday's win over the Giants. Brooks went down immediately after an extra point attempt in the second quarter. The Pro Bowl guard had to be carted off to the locker room and did not return to the game.
"He had the separated right shoulder during the game on the PAT," Pederson said. "He suffered a little more damage in there, so he is actually going to miss the remainder of the season."
Hall's injury came on the last play of the game as the team celebrated their NFC East Championship. He played 11 snaps on defense and made one tackle on special teams.
"The only other report I can put out there is Daeshon Hall, last play of the game, ACL," Pederson said. "He's done for the year. It is unfortunate."
Running back Miles Sanders had to exit the game due to an ankle injury sustained early in the second quarter and Boston Scott had to take over as the main running back. Prior to his injury, Sanders recorded 52 yards on the ground on nine attempts. Cornerback Avonte Maddox was another player who was banged up, but Pederson provided good news on both guys.
"Miles Sanders first, lower body, the ankle. He's going to be day to day. He should be OK. Got good news on him, same with Avonte. It's a physical sport but both of those guys are tough guys and should be OK," Pederson said.
The Eagles had a lot of traffic in the blue medical tent during Sunday's matchup. Pederson assured that most of the players who had been evaluated will be good to go for the Wild Card game against Seattle on Sunday at 4:40 p.m.
Tight end Zach Ertz missed yesterday's game with an injured back and ribs that occurred during the Week 16 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Ertz will get back on the practice field this week.
"Ertz is another one that we're going to monitor each day," Pederson said. "This week we can incorporate him back into practice and see where he's at the end of the week and make a decision then."
Lastly, wide receiver DeSean Jackson is making strides back toward a return. Jackson was placed on Injured Reserve on November 5 and underwent surgery to repair a core muscle injury. Jackson is eligible to return for the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
"He's getting close. We're still going to monitor him. He's been running on land, trending in the right direction," Pederson said. "We'll see where he is at the end of the week before we make that decision. He's not eligible until we activate him."
