Wide receiver Reggie Brown did not participate in practice Thursday with a groin injury, after receiving only limited reps on Wednesday.
Although offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said Brown "is better than he was" Wednesday, Brown was still downgraded. He joined Shawn Andrews (back), Juqua Parker (knee), J.R. Reed (hamstring, ankle) and Brian Westbrook (ribs, ankle) on the sidelines. None of the other four practiced in any capacity on Wednesday.
On the brighter side, both defensive end Victor Abiamiri (wrist) and wide receiver Kevin Curtis (sports hernia), who have not played since the start of the season, received full reps.
Though Curtis remains a question mark, defensive coordinator Jim Johnson was optimistic about Abiamiri's return in a hybrid end/tackle role.
"I think he'll play this week, yeah," Johnson said. "He'll play some end and tackle. I'm not saying he's strictly a tackle. He'll play some end and tackle."
