The Good: Explosive blocker on the pivot with a solid game. Quick in all his actions, bends his knees, and plays with leverage. Terrific with the shotgun snap, keeps his feet moving and gets underneath opponents. Displays ability in space and can slide his feet then get lateral to pick up the blitz. Effective with shotgun snap as the ball quickly gets back into the quarterback's hands. Helps out teammates and does a nice job quarterbacking the offensive line.
The Bad: Lacks natural bulk and constantly knock off balance. Ducks his head and misses blocks on occasion.
The Verdict: Walton is a solid lineman who has potential in a zone-blocking system. He must improve his overall strength and balance yet could eventually develop into a starter at the next level.
