The Eagles have filled the eighth spot on the practice squad with center Zane Taylor, a rookie who went undrafted and spent the preseason with the New York Jets. Taylor also spent time on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad earlier this season.
Taylor, 6-2, 309, played collegiately at Utah where he was a three-time all Mountain West selection and made the first team as a senior. He started 38 games at center over his last three seasons after beginning his career as a guard. Taylor was also a four-time academic all-conference honoree.
On the practice squad, Taylor joins fellow offensive lineman Dallas Reynolds, wide receiver Ronald Johnson, tight end Brett Brackett, fullback Stanley Havili, linebacker Greg Lloyd, defensive tackle Cedric Thornton and defensive end Maurice Fountain.
