A.J. Brown scores against the Saints in their 2022 meeting.

The Eagles will hit the road and head to New Orleans in Week 3 for a clash with the Saints.

The Saints come into the new campaign looking to improve from their 9-8 record a season ago after finishing the season winning four out of their last five games.

They hired a new offensive coordinator (Klint Kubiak), built back up in the draft, and added free agency pieces in hopes of putting it all together in Year 2 with quarterback Derek Carr.

Quick Stats

2023 record: 9-8 (2nd in NFC South)

Key additions: Chase Young, Cedrick Wilson Jr., Willie Gay

Key losses: Michael Thomas, Jameis Winston, Zack Baun, Andrus Peat

Top draft picks: T Taliese Fuaga (Round 1, Pick 14), CB Kool-Aid McKinstry (Round 2, Pick 41), QB Spencer Rattler (Round 5, Pick 150), WR Bub Means (Round 5, Pick 170)

As Training Camp continues, we caught up with NewOrleans.Football writer Nick Underhill to take a look at the Saints' biggest storylines.

What are the top storylines to follow in Training Camp for the Saints?

"The thing that will likely determine the Saints' season is how their offensive line comes together. Ryan Ramczyk is going to miss the season with a degenerative knee issue, Andrus Peat departed in free agency this offseason, and James Hurst retired.

"The Saints drafted Taliese Fuaga and will attempt to move him to left tackle, and former first-round pick Trevor Penning is going to try to win the job at right tackle after failing to get on the field the last two seasons at left tackle."

What can be expected from new Offensive Coordinator Kliff Kubiak in Year 1?

"New Orleans is hoping for a more put-together offense under Klint Kubiak. Many star players talked last year about how it felt like there was a lack of accountability on the offensive side of the ball, and Kubiak has been the opposite of that. The team looks and feels energized on that side of the ball, but it's easy to feel that way before there are any negative results or adversity to fight through. But he should bring more modern elements to the team. The Saints didn't use a lot of play-action or motions last season, and those are the things that Kubiak's system is built upon. Those elements should help create some easier reads for Derek Carr."

What role will the high draft picks (Taliese Fuaga, Kool-Aid McKinstry) have early on?

"Fuaga should start at left tackle and Kool-Aid McKinstry will battle with Alontae Taylor for the starting spot at slot cornerback with Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo locked into the roles on the outside. Spencer Rattler will battle with Jake Haner for the top backup spot."

What under-the-radar guys can make a jump in camp and try and earn their spot?

"The Saints have two tight ends who could win a spot. Undrafted rookie Dallin Holker looked great all spring, and Michael Jacobson, a converted basketball player, also looks like he is coming into his own. The Saints lack depth at tight end, so it could be a prime spot for someone to jump up and claim a spot." – Compiled by Liam Wichser
