Cornerback Asante Samuel is out for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears and will not travel with the team to Chicago, the Eagles announced. Samuel suffered a knee sprain in last Sunday's 27-17 victory over the New York Giants, in which Samuel registered two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
With Samuel out, Joselio Hanson is expected to start at left cornerback. When the nickel defense is on the field, expect Hanson to slide inside to play his normal nickel corner spot and rookie fourth-round pick Trevard Lindley to hold down the left cornerback spot.
Samuel currently leads the league with seven interceptions.
Defensive end Juqua Parker (hip flexor strain) and defensive tackle Antonio Dixon (abdominal strain) are both listed as questionable and will travel with the team to Chicago.
