Defensive end Trent Cole went to Missouri during the bye week looking to hunt some bucks. He returns from the bye week and will once against be looking to hunt some Bucs.
"I didn't score anything during the bye week," Cole said. "That means I'm going to be hunting."
That's not good news for Bucs quarterback Josh Johnson.
In each of his first three games this season, Cole has recorded at least a half-sack. The streak actually extends to the NFC Championship game at the end of last season. With 2.5 sacks this year, Cole leads the team and is tied for seventh in the NFC. He is tied for third on the team with 20 tackles and also has a QB hurry and a forced fumble which resulted in a touchdown by Victor Abiamiri.
Cole hopes to keep his streak alive against the Buccaneers and the elusive second-year quarterback who is making just his second career start. Cole said that the Eagles, first and foremost, want to take care of business early and not give the 0-4 Buccaneers a glimpse of hope.
"We are going to go in there and play them like any other team. We're going to look at them like the Super Bowl," Cole said. "It's about going out there, playing our ball and getting it done."
