INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts general manager and former Eagles director of player personnel Ryan Grigson had a lot to discuss at the Scouting Combine as his new team holds the first overall pick in the upcoming draft and has to deal with the contract situation of a future Hall of Fame quarterback in Peyton Manning.
But Grigson, who was named general manager on January 11 after nine years with the Eagles organization, spoke briefly about his time in Philadelphia. He wanted to let Eagles fans know that they are in "great, great, great hands" with Howie Roseman in place as general manager.
"Howie is phenomenal at what he does," said Grigson, who was Roseman's right-hand man in Philadelphia. "He's a dual-threat and there are not that many dual threats in the league. He knows talent and he's great with numbers and the cap. He's unique in that way. He's passionate. You can't fake how one feels about his work."
