Despite being a full participant throughout the week of practice, wide receiver Riley Cooper will not yet make his 2012 season debut as the third-year player heads the Eagles' list of inactives against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cooper has been recovering from a broken collarbone.
With Cooper inactive, Mardy Gilyard is active as the fifth receiver for the Eagles.
Joining Gilyard among the 46 active players for the Eagles is running back Dion Lewis, the first time this season Lewis has been active. Today is a homecoming of sorts for the 2011 fifth-round pick, who played collegiately at Pittsburgh.
After missing last week's game with knee soreness, Colt Anderson returns to active for the Eagles, which should serve as a shot to the special teams coverage units. King Dunlap also returns as an active player for the Eagles, but Demetress Bell starts at left tackle. Jamar Chaney starts at weakside linebacker with Akeem Jordan out.
Here are the rest of the Eagles' inactives: running back Chris Polk, defensive end Vinny Curry, offensive lineman Steve Vallos, offensive lineman Nate Menkin, quarterback Trent Edwards and Jordan.
