Cooper Out, Maclin In For Preseason Opener

CHICAGO -- Seven players, including two starters, will not dress for the Eagles tonight in the preseason opener against the Chicago Bears. Wide receiver Riley Cooper and nose tackle Bennie Logan will be replaced in the starting lineup by Arrelious Benn and Damion Square, respectively.

Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, though, will dress and play in his first official game under head coach Chip Kelly after he suffered a torn ACL prior to the preseason last summer.

The other injured players who will not dress for the Eagles are cornerback Nolan Carroll II, center Julian Vandervelde, linebacker Jake Knott, running back Chris Polk and wide receiver Jeff Maehl.
