While it looks unlikely for one starting running back to play, it appears another could suit up on Sunday night.
Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has missed the past six games with a foot sprain, but was a limited participant on Wednesday. Murray is optimistic that he will play against the Eagles calling it a "good first day" of practice, per the Cowboys' official website.
As Murray hopes to play, running back Felix Jones missed practice with a knee injury. Jones has started in Murray's absence and is the team's leading rusher with 335 yards and three touchdowns. He also has two receiving touchdowns, one of which came against the Eagles in Week 10.
Jones was not the only Cowboy to miss practice. Nose tackle Jay Ratliff (groin), cornerback Orlando Scandrick (hand) and center Phil Costa (ankle) also did not participate in practice. Scandrick, the team's slot cornerback, is unlikely to play the remainder of the season.
Five other players were limited in practice. Wide receiver Miles Austin suffered a hip injury in the Week 12 loss to the Redskins. Defensive end Ben Bass and offensive tackle Tyron Smith are both dealing with ankle injuries. In addition to Murray, center/guard Ryan Cook (knee) and defensive end Sean Lissemore (ankle) also eye a return to action after being limited in practice.
