The Eagles host the Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field in their second Kelly Green game today and will be without Jalen Hurts (concussion). Kenny Pickett is set to start his first game as an Eagle with Tanner McKee backing him up and Ian Book (signed to active roster Saturday) as the emergency third quarterback.
"I'm very excited. It's a big opportunity. I've been working hard to stay ready and I felt like I was in a good position last game with my preparation and now having a week to practice, I'll feel even better going into the stadium. So, I'm excited. I just want to get the win," Pickett said on Thursday.
Linebacker Nakobe Dean, who was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report with an abdomen injury, is out for today's game. Oren Burks is in line to start for Dean. Burks played six snaps last week when Dean went out for a few plays with an injury.
The Eagles also placed wide receiver/punt returner Britain Covey on Injured Reserve as he is dealing with a neck injury.
Running back Will Shipley was ruled out with a concussion he suffered against Washington.
The Eagles activated defensive end Bryce Huff (wrist) from Injured Reserve on Saturday after missing the last five games following his wrist procedure. Huff has 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks, four QB hits, three tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in 10 games this season.
Huff will rejoin Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith, and rookie Jalyx Hunt.
Philadelphia elevated running back Tyrion Davis-Price and linebacker Dallas Gant from the practice squad for today's game. Davis-Price will make his Eagles debut while Gant will make his NFL debut.

Cowboys without star receiver
The Cowboys shut down wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) for the rest of the season after being eliminated from playoff contention in Week 16.
The Cowboys also placed Cornerback Amani Oruwariye (foot) on Injured Reserve and signed offensive linemen Asim Richards to the active roster. Richards was on Injured Reserve with an ankle injury and could see time at left tackle. Cornerback Trevon Diggs has been on Injured Reserved with a knee injury since Dec. 21.
