The awards keep piling up for defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, who was named to Pro Football Weekly/Professional Football Writers of America's 2012 All-Rookie Team Thursday.
Cox enjoyed one of the best seasons of any rookie defender in 2012. He finished the year with 65 total tackles, and finished tied for the team lead with 5.5 sacks. He also contributed seven tackles for loss and 24 quarterback hurries.
This is the third best-of list to include Cox. On Tuesday, he and teammate Brandon Boykin were tabbed by ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. as two rookies who could have a breakout year in 2013. And last week, Kiper named Cox to his All-Rookie squad. So far, Cox has delivered on the promise he displayed as a dominant defensive lineman at Mississippi State.
