Special teams coordinator Ted Daisher said he was pleased with the kick return showings from both Quintin Demps and Ellis Hobbs Thursday night against the Colts.
"I've very comfortable with both of those guys," Daisher said. "They hit it quick. They did a nice job of getting vertical, finding seams. They both are natural returners."
Hobbs returned one 35 yards and Demps rattled off a 30-yard return.
As for DeSean Jackson, Daisher said there was a plan in place to have Jackson field at least one punt against the Colts, but it did not work out.
"I would love to see him take a rep (as a punt returner) and hopefully that's going to take place this Thursday night," Daisher said.
Certainly, Daisher has options in the return game, including rookie Jeremy Maclin, whom he spoke about at length on Sunday.
"We are very blessed to have several guys that can return the ball that have skills, but again it will all be based on what their role is with the team and what's best for the team as far as who's going to be back there. It will work itself out."
