Running back Darren Sproles tweeted the following a short time ago.
The Eagles placed Sproles on Injured Reserve earlier this afternoon after head coach Doug Pederson revealed that the running back tore his ACL and broke his forearm on a second-quarter run in Sunday's win over New York.
The 13th-year veteran had previously hinted at 2017 being his final campaign but started to backtrack from those remarks as recently as June.
"We're going to see," Sproles said of this being his last season during Organized Team Activities. "After we make these playoffs, come back and ask me."
Here's to hoping that Sunday was not the last we'll see of a player worthy of a gold jacket.
