The Eagles took a real-life dip into the "Dawg Mentality" they've had through their playoff hunt by partnering with three local animal shelters to help give a dog (or another pet) a second chance at a loving home.

The Eagles organization partnered with three local animal shelters to help give a dog (or another pet) a second chance at a loving home. The Eagles are covering all adoption fees at *Providence Animal Center* in Media, Pennsylvania, *Street Tails,* in Philadelphia, and *Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center* in Blackwood, New Jersey until the end of the Eagles 2024 season.

Providence Animal Center made the trip to the NovaCare Complex Tuesday morning to show Eagles players a glimpse of the dogs they have to offer.

They brought five puppies and one adult, named Linc, to play around with as Eagles players stopped by throughout to see the cuteness overload take place.

A.J. Brown, Grant Calcaterra, Lewis Cine, Cooper DeJean, Jordan Mailata, and more were overtaken by the playful puppies, sitting down and spending time with each of them. They even came up with names for them, which included A.J., Covey, Nick Sirianni, and Cleo.

"It's amazing to have the opportunity to be with the players," Jo-Ann Zoll, CEO of Providence Animal Center said. "And for them to be able to use their platforms to help these dogs and to interact with them and show how friendly they are and that they just need a home. There's no doubt that partnering with them will bring visibility to these animals, which is key. We're really grateful for the opportunity."

Each organization has its own guidelines on the adoption process and fans should visit the organization's pages to understand what is covered under the adoption fee.

For those looking to adopt, here's how the adoption process to give a pet a fresh start, as well as add another fan to Eagles Everywhere:

  1. Visit one of the participating shelters: Explore the pets waiting for a new home.
  1. Adopt your new best friend: Find the perfect match for you and your family.
  1. Let the Eagles take care of the rest: The Eagles are covering all adoption fees through the rest of the Eagles' playoff run!

For these organizations, exposure is so meaningful, because the more people know about how to adopt, the more animals can be taken home.

"It's an audience that the shelter might not normally reach, so I think that really elevates the awareness to pet adoption. There might be some Eagles fans who are purely focused on the sport, and they might not be browsing these adoption sites. So, when you bring both worlds together, then I think that could really mean a lot for these homeless animals. It could make a really big difference and mean more adoptions that wouldn't have happened without this sort of event," Communications Consultant Justina Calgiano of Providence Animal Center said.
