The Eagles may have come up short on achieving their ultimate goal of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy this season, but on Sunday they ended their season on a high note by defeating the New York Giants 34-26 to finish up with a 10- record.

The Giants drove 80 yards on just six plays on their opening possession, capping off the drive with a one-yard touchdown run from Andre Williams. But the Eagles answered right back with an 80-yard drive of their own, needing only three plays to tie the game. After the Eagles jumped out to a 14-7 lead on Brent Celek's first touchdown grab of the season, the Giants put nine-straight points on the board to go up 16-14. Cody Parkey would answer with a 32-yard field goal (setting the all-time NFL rookie points record in the process), and the Eagles went into halftime with a 17-16 lead.
The Giants then went three-and-out on their first possession of the second half, but before the Eagles offense could even make it back out to the field, Eagles special teams were back to their usual ways of putting points on the board.
